Subject position:

Our subject position is everything that goes to make up what we are and where we fit in the world.


My subject position is gender fluid, 13 year old, white, lesbian, goes to school in Cornwall I like playing video games and writing.











A person who loves anime might get excited when they see this.

whereas someone who hates/doesn't watch it might find it boring. 


Denotation - The dictionary definition.


Connotation - The deeper meaning what we associate with the word or image. 


  1. Denote: A gun.
  2. Connote: Murder, Death, Injury, Danger, Violence.

  2. Connote: Birthday Party, Killer Clown, Entertainment, Circus. 

  1. Denote: A man holding a hammer with a red cape. 
  2. Superhero, Strong, Violence.
  • This image could promote mystery because of the girls looking scared and worried and we don't know why 
  • It could also promote murder because of where the camera is it looks like its in a grave.
  • It looks spooky because of the dark colours. 
  • The font also looks spooky because of all the loops and the colour.

  Wednesday 6th October 2021 LO: To analyse a media text using Media Language Why do you think they chose this shot type? The camera shot type is a medium long shot.  I think they chose this shot because it shows all of the features like the gun and a clear facial expression. If they had chosen a long shot his facial expression would not be clear and if you chose a mid shot the gun would not be visible so a medium long shot is perfect.  Clothing: The clothing looks professional however, its not exactly something James Bond would wear as he  usually wears suits.  He also looks like a cowboy who are usually outlaws so maybe he's an outlaw in this movie? Trailers and Genre:

Wednesday 12th January 2022 LO - To explore the different features of iMovie and experiment with different genre features. I decided to use the Jurassic park trailer which is an adventure movie.
